Refund policy

Draft. This page is a structural placeholder. The final text must be reviewed by a Sri Lankan lawyer before launch — especially for PDPA, in-app account deletion, and refund obligations.

This policy covers refunds of the Kirk booking fee. Refunds for the underlying service are between you and the business — Kirk is not party to that contract.

Automatic refunds

You will be refunded automatically when:

  • You cancel a booking more than 30 minutes before the start time.
  • The business cancels your booking before it starts.
  • A technical fault on Kirk prevents your booking from being honoured.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7 business days, depending on your bank.

Refunds on request

You can request a refund by emailing support if:

  • You were charged but a booking was never created.
  • You arrived on time but the business did not honour the booking.
  • You believe a fee was charged in error.

Email support@kirkreservations.lk within 14 days of the booking. We respond within 5 business days.

Non-refundable

  • Cancellations within 30 minutes of the start time.
  • No-shows (you didn't arrive or scan the QR within the grace period).
  • Refund claims older than 14 days.

Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback through your bank without first contacting support, we may suspend your account until the dispute is resolved. Please reach out to us first — most issues are resolved in a single message.
